A couple of new layouts

I've really been on a creative streak here lately & have done a couple of layouts that I really love.  A few are few dt's so I can't show you yet, but I do have a couple that I can share.  The first one is for the first weekly challenge over at Scraptiffany.  The challenge is to create a layout about yourself using black and pink.  Be sure to go over there and check out the other great layouts by the dt!

The second layout I did is using the new Chatterbox Fabulous collection, just love this stuff and plan on doing a couple more this weekend.  Speaking of the weekend, hope everyone has a great one!

Back Home Safe & Sound With Some Exciting News!

Well, I finally got home yesterday afternoon from my trip to New York.  I am exhausted!  I went with my mom to visit my brother and his wife and son.  We spent the first day in the city at Times Square, and to be honest I could have spent everyday there!  I just love it!  The next day we visited some historical sites in New Jersey that my mom wanted to see and then after that we went down to the beach and to the boardwalk.  This was the first time that my mom had seen the ocean, so she was pretty much in awe.  It is breathtakingly beautiful.  And while I was gone I received a fantastic email from Tiffany at ScrapTiffany saying that I had made the design team!  She had tons of great submissions, so I am really honored to have been chosen for this!  Be sure to head on over there and check out here site.  I thought I would leave you with a few photos I took while on vacation.

Nature in True Form!

As most of you know I am a country girl and live in a very rural community.  Well, one of my favorite signs of summer is all of the fields become a field of gold.  What I mean by this is that literally millions of goldenrods cover the ground for as far as the eye can see!  This year was the most I have ever seen and I had to get photos to show just how beautiful this is.
